Thor (Volume 1 1962)
Marvel's Thor, the thunderous god of thunder, thunderously stormed into comic book history with his debut in Journey into Mystery #83 in August 1962. Crafted by the legendary trio of artist Jack Kirby, writer Stan Lee, and scripter Larry Lieber, Thor's saga unfolded within the pages of Journey into Mystery until issue #125. From there, the series was rechristened "The Mighty Thor," beginning with issue #126 in March 1966, as the thunder god's adventures soared to new heights. Volume 1 of this epic tale concluded in September 1996 with its thunderous 502nd issue, cementing Thor's place as one of Marvel's mightiest heroes in the annals of comic book history.
