CGC Universal Blue Label
For over 20 years, CGC, based in Florida USA, has been the premier company for professional comic grading and slabbing. The process involves the company recieving un-graded raw comics, then deducing the comics grade, based on the Overstreet Grading System used widely in the comic industry. After the grade is decided, the comics are placed in a thin plastic heat sealed sleave, then a larger hard-plastic case (Slab), with a label detailing notable information about the comic and its condition, aswell as a CGC hologram, a unique barcode used by CGC to showcase authenticity.
CGC has a standard grading service indicted by a Universal Blue Label, where simply the grade as marked, with no qualifiers or special considerations.
