Roy Thomas born November 22 1940, is an American comic book writer and editor, who was Stan Lee's first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics. He also took over from Stan Lee as writer for the Avengers title with issue #35 in December 1966, finishing up with issue #104 in October 1972.
